Wii U review!

It’s always a great event for me to test a new console! Ah the joy of going to buy it, unbox it and try it!!! I never get tired of doing this! I took advantage of the huge GAME sales to treat myself to this new Nintendo home console. I got the black Wii U Premium with Nintendo Land for €240 instead of €349 with Zombi U added!

As usual with Nintendo, everything is well packaged, and everything is well protected with a substantial user manual! The Wii U is small compared to the PS3 and XBOX 360, the design of the machine is successful! What impresses the most is undoubtedly the Wii U GamePad: it is super light, the sticks and buttons are solid, and the touch screen is of good quality! Everything is very well explained on the different connection procedures for the Wii U! A flawless one for Nintendo! Connecting this console is easy. A nice thing is that an HDMI cable is included in the pack, otherwise the sensor from the first Wii of the name is also provided, with the Nintendo Land game!

When starting the console for the first time, you must make various basic settings, namely setting the HD definition of the TV, setting the date and time, etc. It's nice to see the Nintendo console finally displayed in HD, it promises quality graphics for the games on this Wii U! Then you configure your Mii character and you arrive at the home screen! It should be noted that the Wii U is experiencing difficulties with updates! It’s so slow! And it crashes sometimes! Nintendo has its work cut out for it regarding the Online part, we are very far from the stability of Xbox Live!

To use this Wii U is made for the whole family, everything is very simple! the operating system of this console is really successful! What a pleasure to see that Nintendo finally has its own high definition home console (7 years after the Xbox360 and PS3) better late than never lol, I hope that the future ZELDA and MARIO 3D will peel off our retinas :). Also note that this Wii U is compatible with the entire catalog of games from the first Wii of the name and that these are displayed in HD! Controllers and various accessories from the first Wii are also compatible! (Wii Fit, Wii Motion+, Nunchuk etc…). This Wii U also has an internet browser! it has its own social network (Miiverse), its market (Nintendo E shop), as well as a Youtube application, and other various applications. You can download its games in full from the Nintendo E Shop or buy them in store. In terms of the faults of this console, I regret the size of its hard drive which is really ridiculous (32 gigabytes). In terms of qualities, I appreciate the total silence of this Wii U and playing the different games on the Gamepad is very practical, especially if another person wants to use the TV! Very good idea Nintendo!

To conclude, I think that this Wii U is a very good home console, the gamepad is undoubtedly the biggest advantage of the Wii U!. Nintendo must, on the other hand, optimize its machine in order to improve it in terms of speed and updates. The game Zombi U, shows the different possibilities of this console and frankly it's a total blast!!!. This Wii U is a home console for the whole family thanks to its simplicity and user-friendliness!

Paradoxically, I see that third-party publishers are massively abandoning the Wii U, in favor of mainstream news like the Xbox One and especially the PS4! It is true that the Wii U is very far from being a hit! She is even a failure! Despite this, Nintendo is redoubling its efforts and its latest games like Pikmin 3, Donkey Kong tropical freeze, but especially Mario Kart 8 are bringing a smile back to the gamer that I am! And what about the next Zelda which would be in an open world? the trailer made me dream… To conclude, if you are a fan of Nintendo games, the Wii U is made for you! On the other hand, if you want big-budget multiplatform games, I strongly advise you not to buy this Wii U, but rather switch to the PS4 and Xbox One!
