The Division essay
The Division is currently available in closed beta for this weekend! So I decided to discover this game last night on my Xbox One! So here is my little feedback!
This beta version of The Division is a nice surprise for me! After a very short video tutorial explaining the different keys that can be used on the Xbox One controller, I quickly found myself on the battlefield! I found the staging very good. It must be said that this open world representing the city of New York, victim of a devastating virus, sends shivers down your spine! You will come across honest but stubborn residents as well as people with bad intentions who will do anything to survive (thugs, robbers, etc.). I found this city of New York, lively and very realistic! It must be said that the technical achievement of The Division is top-notch! It’s downright beautiful even on console! New York is beautiful! A little advice, don't hesitate to adjust the sharpness of the image to 70 and remove the "high tech" effect (fog, special effects, reflection), your game will gain in realism! It's in any case a very good idea to be able to adjust the game's display, it must be said that it's very rare on console, or even non-existent! For the gameplay I found it simple and intuitive, very quickly we manage to master our agent (rather soldier I would say)!
The overall goal of the game is to reclaim the neighborhoods of New York and remove all lawless areas. This beta offered various small, well-scripted missions (retake areas, help teams in distress) as well as a mission asking you to intervene in a hostage situation in a hospital! The missions look really cool! Then I found myself in the dark zone! Be careful, everything is allowed in this area! In fact, it is a multiplayer no man’s land, the neighborhoods of which have been sealed off due to contamination! In short, I met more or less well-intentioned players! It is also strongly recommended to play with one or more friends in cooperation, because the hunt for solitary gamers is commonplace! Indeed, the players, even if they played together at first, do not hesitate to kill each other to recover loot! In short, this Dark Zone promises to be like the Wild West! It’s going to be a mess 🙂 Note though that this area was a little slow and unstable (my internet connection may be the cause), we should also not forget that the game is in beta version… As you can see, The Division seems set to be a (very) good tactical and fun TPS (3rd person shooter) with RPG and multiplayer flavor in a very friendly open world New York! The Division is likely to delight gamers who like to play cooperatively! Final verdict in March 2016 for the release of the game!
