Microsoft prides itself on offering Xbox One backwards compatibility with over a hundred Xbox 360 games,What about vraiment?
I've had my Xbox One for almost 02 years, and I've never tried the backward compatibility of Xbox 360 games on my One. I figured why not try it now! What's better than one of the best Xbox 360 games to test this feature? Make way for the awesome Red Dead Redemption! I really want to play this game again while waiting for the next episode which promises to be just as grandiose! So here I am, inserting my game onto my Xbox One! First big surprise, even if I have the disc version of Red Dead Redemption, my Xbox One automatically downloads the complete digital version! 02 times 7 gigs to download, it's not cool when you don't have optical fiber! In short, I couldn't play straight away! In addition, you still have to leave the disc inserted even if it shouldn't be of much use in the end, the digital version having taken over. Well I'm done grumbling, I can finally play Red Dead Redemption on my Xbox One after 2 hours of downloading!
Once in the game, I rediscovered the immediate pleasure that this superb game from the Rockstar Games studio gives me! Grandiose western atmosphere, freedom of movement, top graphics even despite these 06 years of seniority, in short nothing to say about this game! Emulating Red Dead Redemption on Xbox One allows this game to maintain a stable speed, something complicated on Xbox 360. The framerate is therefore improved, which is a good point! Graphically it might be a bit cleaner but nothing too obvious. Mission accomplished for Microsoft with its backward compatibility of Xbox 360 games on Xbox One! However, can we really talk about backwards compatibility? Not really in fact because the Xbox One systematically downloads a digital version of the game adapted for this console! In addition, only 170 Xbox 360 games are “backwards compatible” with the Xbox One, I doubt that ultimately the entire 360 catalog will be offered... To conclude, this backward compatibility is a good help, but personally I prefer to keep my Xbox 360, I am sure that my game will work, and in any case I never part with my old consoles :)
