Testing Chorus on Xbox
Hello space pilots, today I offer you my test of Chorus on Xbox (also available on Playstation 4/5, PC and Stadia)
Do you like space battles? Do you want to become the best space pilot? You are in the right place! Today, thanks toKoch Media, I offer you my test of Chorus on my Xbox Series X, a game made by Deep Silver Fishlabs.
In the game Chorus, you play as Nara, a legendary pilot, once a member of a mysterious Cult called the Circle. It took Nara destroying an entire planet for her to lose her belief in “the circle” and go underground. Alas, this painful past will quickly catch up with Nara and the latter will have to face the space fleet of the cult, using her ship Forsazen. So much for the story. I don't plan to reveal more to you, because that would spoil the whole intrigue of the Chorus developers. I am pleasantly surprised by this neat story. All the missions add something in terms of plot and setting. I was expecting a classic space combat game, but I ended up with a story worthy of a science fiction novel.
But what is this Chorus pad worth in your hand? On Xbox Series X, in 4K this semi open world 3D space combat game is superb! It's beautiful, it's fluid, it's nervous, the ship responds to the finger and the eye and the settings are splendid. Getting started is immediate and there is just as much room for improvement. By flying with your ship you improve and become an outstanding pilot. The clashes with other ships are well done and really for once the AI sometimes gives us a hard time. Chorus, like many other games now, offers several difficulty modes in order to satisfy the player with two left hands like me, but also the expert who likes to suffer and put the game on maximum difficulty. In terms of audio it's really not bad. The lifespan is substantial, count 19-20 hours, which is plenty for a space combat game. I noticed a few bugs during certain missions, one of them completely prevented me from completing my mission (the container was nowhere to be found). After struggling for a good hour, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I no longer encountered this problem. but hey it still got me really drunk!!! I had to start the whole game again
What else can I say about Chorus? Well as indicated above the story is really neat, the dialogues are very very (too) numerous lol. I'm not used to it talking so much in a space combat game haha. During clashes, you should not hesitate to change your weapon type depending on the opposing ship. I was thinking of playing a really fun space arcade game, ultimately you have to make your neurons think ^^ and above all pilot perfectly to open certain doors.
Here is my verdict
Under its false appearance of a classic space combat game, Chorus hides its game well. It is a deep game offering a setting worthy of a SF novel. Its gameplay is nervous, its soundtrack is nice and graphically Chorus defends itself well. If I hadn't encountered this big bug preventing me from playing and forcing me to reinstall everything (while complaining ^^) it would have been flawless. In any case Chorus is a good space combat game I enjoy each mission carried out, Deep Silver Fishlabs did a good job!
