Should you buy the Playstation Vita?
The Playstation Vita has everything to be a superb portable console! Magnificent OLED screen, latest on-board technologies, several types of gameplay… Unfortunately there is a hiccup… So should you buy the Playstation Vita?
After the honorable career of the Playstation Portable, the PSP, Sony is back with its Playstation Vita. Portable console doped with hormones, incredible graphics (much more beautiful than on 3DS) for a portable console, cutting-edge on-board technology, it is roughly a portable Playstation 3. Sony promised a lot with this console, but ultimately personally owning this Playstation Vita I have a very bitter taste...
This Playstation Vita had it all, with these very good first games, like Uncharted, Killzone and Gravity Rush to name a few. the Oled touch screen of this console was superb. The Playstation Vita interface was exemplary but above all very intuitive. Getting started with this Vita was immediate, you really felt like you had a Playstation 3 in your hand!
Unfortunately, it's quite incredible and disconcerting, but Sony very quickly put aside its Playstation Vita, to devote itself to the launch of the Playstation 4 and the Playstation VR. Given Sony's illogical reaction, third-party publishers also fled this Playstation Vita, seeing that Sony was no longer even talking about it during the various video game conferences. IF I remember correctly, this portable console did not seem to be a commercial flop. It sold, there were players on it, but unfortunately the Playstation Vita did not have its GTA but also and above all its Gran Turismo… Fortunately some developers from the independent scene release video game gems on the Vita from time to time, so we have to be content with that... The Playstation Vita will therefore not be entitled to AAA games unlike the Playstation 4.
Sony tried to revive its Playstation Vita by adding the streaming function for PS4 games, but in the end it was far from ergonomic (lack of buttons, screen resolution). Little by little Sony is even removing online functionalities from the Playstation Vita, this proves that the manufacturer is abandoning its portable console, to my great regret because this console had enormous capabilities... This is how Sony ruined this Playstation Vita when it had the means to make it an essential game console, notably by bringing many famous games to it. Instead I end up with a Playstation Vita which is gathering dust, what a waste this console is!
To answer the question clearly and frankly, do not buy the Playstation Vita, you will really get pissed off on this console! There are no big games on it anymore! This will serve as a lesson to me! In the future, if Sony launches a new portable console, I will not buy it "Day One", I will wait to see if this console will be supported and not shunned by its manufacturer…
