Runner Party here is my opinion!
This week I tried Runner Party, a very funny and original multiplayer game!I was contacted this week by the French independent video game studio located in Tours,Creartstudioto try a competitive 2D multiplayer video game for all types of players (casual gamer pro gamer).
It’s about the video gameRunner Partyavailable in early access onSteam! I have had confirmation that it will also be available on Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles later!
I was worried that it wouldn't work very well since my PC is quite old but ultimately I was able to play it with my 9 year old son and also with my partner! The cool thing is that I can also invite friends remotely using Steam remote play.
Runner Party is a competitive multiplayer platform racing game for up to 4 players locally and/or online (Steam Remote Play) with multiple and varied mechanics. See this game as a mix between a Sonic racing game with speed/springboards, but also with a good dose of Mario and Mario Kart kart via the items and sanctions that can be thrown at competing players! Runner Party pays a great homage to 8-bit and 16-bit video games from the 80s and 90s. If your childhood was spent with Nintendo and Sega consoles, Runner Party will be love at first sight for you ^^
The goal of Runner Party is to get other players off camera! The match takes place in 3 rounds! Obviously you have to avoid obstacles, travel the map as quickly as possible but also throw items at other players just to penalize them and hear them rage :p
I confirm that the concept of the game works wonderfully! Xbox controller in hand, the gameplay is childish and perfectly suited for amateur players and professionals alike. Graphically it's very cute, it reminds me of the 2D platform games of my childhood! On my PC the game is smooth. The maps are varied and the characters in the game are very inspired ^^. I played a few games against my son but also against my partner and frankly I had a good laugh! We play one after another and we don't see the time passing because we're having so much fun 🙂 It's clearly a party game to offer in the evening! I can't wait for this Runner Party to be available on console soon! I can already imagine playing it in the living room on the sofa with my friends and my family for wild games 🙂
