Here is my review of The King Of Fighters XV on my Xbox Series X!
Like Street Fighter, the King Of Fighters Saga is still available and offers new episodes on most video game consoles and PCs.The King Of Fighters XV(KOF XV) returns for our greatest pleasure on PS4/PS5 Xbox Series and PC! Thanks toKoch Mediafor sending me a copy of this fighting game, so that I could offer a test. King Of Fighter is a fighting game originally playable on Neo Geo and its particularity is that you can fight 3 against 3. The fighters come from the different SNK series.
On the other hand, I prefer to warn you in advance, I have two left hands when I play fighting games haha ^^. I am light years away from the incredible level of professional players like Kayane for example. So I'm going to give you my amateur opinion for this fighting game The King Of Fighters XV
Ready? Fight!
For me, the interest of a fighting game is to be able to face your friends 1 on 1 locally. For the occasion I asked my partner to play against me, in order to see what this King Of Fighters XV was worth for beginner players like my partner and me. Pad in hand, I quickly got my bearings. Basic movements, kicks, punches, guarding, dodges (rolls), there is a common core in terms of gameplay for all the characters. Then the different fighters all have their special moves. Quarter circle, double quarter circle, it's often the same recipe in fighting games. You can also trigger combos using a single button. KOF XV therefore attempts to please the widest possible audience while maintaining very technical gameplay to also satisfy professionals. In a fighting game it's all about timing and anticipation, so this game must be responsive and precise. Xbox controller in hand, that’s the case. I didn't notice any latency or slowdown during the different fights. So we won't be able to use the bad player's excuse "my controller is malfunctioning" ^^

Bunch of pigs! I see you coming!!! I'm not talking about this kind of plan eh :p King Of Fighter has been offering 3 against 3 for a long time, KOF XV is no exception to the rule. We must therefore train ourselves to correctly master the three characters on our team otherwise it will be a bitter failure. Personally I prefer 1 against 1, but it is true that 3 against 3 is interesting. You can mix different types of fighters and by playing you will find your ideal team.
Let's talk about the fighters. KOF XV is really generous. 39 characters, I have rarely seen so many choices in a fighting game. During each fight, we enjoy testing the different characters in the game. Some of them are really very funny and extravagant :). Obviously in 2022 some female characters in KOF
Now let's talk about the game menu. King Of Fighters XV remains classic in its genre. A training mode to progress. A story mode (arcade) where we play 6 fights + the boss. A local versus mode 1 against 1, and 3 against 3. You can also play against the AI but also play online against another player. I tested against the AI, it’s pretty good. I also played online (friendly match, ranked match) which was enjoyable. the players play the game, I haven't been a victim of "ragequit" and that's nice.
Now let's talk about the graphics. King of Fighter XV does the job. It runs on the Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine. It's clean, fluid and fast. The different arenas are niceand varied. They may lack originality, however. On Xbox Series X it's very nice visually and it runs at 60 frames per second!

The King Of Fighters XV is a classic but enjoyable fighting game. It’s the game to bring out during evenings with friends. He doesn't take any risks but he respects the specifications of a good fighting game. Ready? Fight!!!
