Repair the Nintendo Nes and unzone it!
Even though Nintendo consoles have a reputation for never breaking down, the Nintendo Nes with its great age tends to be very temperamental (the red button that flashes)… So here is my little tutorial to repair and rezone it!
And yes it didn’t take long for me to take apart my Nintendo Nes purchased very recently on the internet! In fact, the latter very often refused to launch games and flashed red. Fortunately for me, I found some Sunday tinkerers on the Internet, especially on YouTube, who successfully repaired the Nintendo Nes! The icing on the cake, thanks to this repair, the Nintendo Nes is now unzoned! Having done it on my console, I can tell you that it now launches all the games on the first try without flinching! Basically you have to disassemble the Nintendo Nes, remove the shielding plate, disconnect the connector (take the opportunity to remove the oxidation in a glass filled with hot water and white vinegar for 30 minutes). Then you have to turn over the motherboard, and you will find the damn Nintendo 3195A chip. You will need to cut the 4th pin of this chip starting from the bottom and the left. Once this operation is completed, reassemble all the parts and reconnect the cleaned connector, and your Nintendo Nes will be in top shape! Be careful before starting this operation, do not forget to unplug the Nintendo Nes, and before any manipulation, press power to drain it of all power, otherwise your Nintendo Nes may burn!
