Already having an Xbox One, it was thanks to a loyal gamer friend that I was able to test this famous Playstation 4, and I will therefore be able to compare it with my Xbox! The first observation that jumps out at you is the very successful and original look of the console, it will not go unnoticed in a living room, it is undeniably a success! The look of this PS4 has nothing to do with the big VCR-type block of my Xbox One! The PS4 also comes in white, I find it super classy! Second important thing for a console, its controller! The look of the Dualshock 4 has evolved quite a bit compared to the old Playstation controllers. We like it or not, it suits me personally. The Dualshock 4 is also very light and that’s a good thing for long gaming sessions! A nice thing is that this controller has a built-in battery! Goodbye to constantly changing batteries. Frankly, it's 2015, for its Xbox One Microsoft should have removed the batteries in its controllers… Nothing to complain about for the Dualshock 4, it is a very good controller!

Now let's take a look at the PS4 interface! It still takes a few minutes to get used to the PS4 menus but it is clear that it is downright simpler than the gas factory multimedia interface of the Xbox One. In the end it's not too bad, the main thing is there, we can play :D. Note that like the One, the PS4 reads Blu-ray films, and is capable of playing certain video formats. But it is clear that Sony (voluntarily) turned the interface of its PS4 for video games, while the PS3 was renowned for being versatile! In operation this Playstation makes itself heard, we are very far from the silent Xbox One. But hey, just put on some sound and the problem is solved! Now let's talk technical, let's not beat around the bush, it is obvious that the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox One, its configuration being slightly more muscular. You are free to compare the visuals of the games, but if you see a obvious difference between 1080p and 900p you are very strong :D. While knowing that the two new consoles must most of the time display 30 frames per second maximum... It's a bit scary for new consoles... Big major problem with these “new generation” consoles, they are victims of update syndrome, and it’s painful! Impossible to play without these endless updates! Honestly, I hope you have a good internet connection at home! In addition to this defect, we must hope that Sony's PSN servers hold up, we are light years away from the solid Xbox Live servers. Also don't forget that the 500 gigabyte hard drives of the PS4 and Xbox One will quickly be full, plan for storage! From now on on PS4 to play online, you must pay an annual subscription (Between €40/60) like on Xbox Live. In exchange for this you will be entitled to download certain games for free every month! For the moment the catalog offered is far from being fun, indie games are all well and good but we would still like to be entitled to some heavy stuff!

So what can we conclude from this test? Considering the worldwide success of the PS4, it is obvious that Sony made the right choices. Between a PS4 that was less expensive than an Xbox One at the time, as well as a better configuration and a 100% games orientation that is easy to use, it's flawless for the new Playstation. On the other hand, let's be honest, the current catalog on PS4 as on Xbox One is far from top, it does not justify the purchase of these "new" consoles. Indeed we have to endure endless high definition remakes!
