Official Xbox Wired Headset Review

In this article, I offer you my review of the Official Xbox wired headset! Finally, a comfortable headset with good quality sound!

I took advantage of a flash sale to treat myself to the latest model of the Official Xbox wired headset. Clearlyit incorporates the characteristics of the brand new Xbox Official wireless headset, while adding a wire :p (a neon green Xbox jack cable).  For 40€ I didn't hesitate.

First good surprise for me, I find this wired Xbox headset light in weight, that's a good point. Because of my big head, I was also worried that this headset would lack comfort and that it would be too tight during a long video game session. Ultimately it’s quite the opposite. It is comfortable while offering very good support. It is suitable for all types of heads but also for big dumbo ears :) . In short, comfort is optimal. This helmet seems to be of good quality,

Another good point, the wire is long, at least there is no risk of damaging the headset and the wire during a rapid or violent movement in the game. I also preferred to opt for this wired headset because I am disappointed with the low battery life of wireless headsets. I can assure you that it's annoying to end a gaming session when the headset runs out of battery. At least I no longer have this problem with this Xbox Official wired headset.  This headset finally allows you to manually mute the microphone, via a physical switch on the side. Speaking of the microphone, it is well thought out, but above all it is flexible and discreet, a change from the big stems that go all the way to the mouth :)

Obviously since I'm a smart guy, I wanted to plug it in directly without going through the user manual box. I was screaming like crazy thinking that my headphones weren't working, since I didn't have any sound coming out of the headphones. After getting very upset, I realized that all I had to do was turn the mechanical part of a large dial available on the right side of the headset. In short, we turn this wheel in one direction or the other to increase and decrease the volume. What do you want, I'm not good haha

Now let's talk about the sound of the headphones. It is a stereo headset compatible with audio-spatial technologies such as Windows Sonic Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone: I find the sound of this wired headset to be good. I rediscover my games with much better quality sound, the immersion is frankly better. The bass is present as well as the treble, this official xbox wired headset is balanced. Concerning the microphone which can be deactivated at will via its switch, it works well and that's all we ask of it!

 

Here is my verdict

I played for several hours in a row withthis Xbox Official wired headset. It is pleasant to wear and despite my long video game sessions I felt no pain or discomfort. It is comfortable while providing excellent support. The sound part is of good quality, I am rediscovering my games. Honestly, if you find this official Xbox wired headset like me for €40, don't hesitate, your ears will thank you!
