My thoughts on the Detroit Become Human demo

Hop, hop, hop, here is my hot opinion on the Detroit Become Human demo on PS4!

Nothing beats a good old demo to get a first opinion on an upcoming video. So I tried the demo of Detroit Become Human, the next game from David Cage behind the brilliant Heavy Rain and the less good, unfortunately, Beyond Two Souls. What's up doctor?

It's off to a bad start!

Yes indeed, there is not much new to eat. In terms of gameplay, we are still witnessing a gaming experience, focused heavily on cinematography, abandoning the classic gameplay of a video game.  As much on Heavy Rain it wasn't too great because it was quite new and innovative, on Detroit Become Human, this lack of innovation seems lazy to me. In addition, my first steps in Detroit Become Human made me a bit annoyed with these too many on-screen notifications when the android scans a room. Visibility in the game is polluted and it bothers me.

This game is full of promise!

Detroit Become Human promises many endings as well as various scenarios, depending on our choices. In this demo where we have to manage a hostage situation, the contract is respected. Indeed our choices greatly modify the final plot. I really liked starting this hostage situation several times in order to change the ending. Detroit Become Human also promises an immersive story based on a science fiction type scenario where humans rub shoulders with androids, obviously resulting in a completely twisted scenario that is different each time depending on our actions. This game therefore promises a lot of replayability! Concerning the story, we can expect a rebellion of androids against humans, as well as an android rebellion against humans. with several unexpected intrigues, this scenario is not to displease me!

God he is beautiful!

Studio Quantic Dream, masters the Playstation 4 to perfection. Detroit Become Human is splendid but above all perfectly fluid and playable. This new game is very impressive. It must be said that Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls had set the bar high on PS3, but Detroit Become Human explodes the retina on Playstation 4. On the other hand, my PS4 Pro suffers a lot!  No, but honestly, I can't hear myself playing! My console is ventilating at full speed, to think that it is going to take off from my living room is unbearable! I'm honestly thinking of bringing it back to the store to have it exchanged...

Day One or not?

Not for me! Honestly, even if I like the story of Detroit Become Human, this game seems at first glance to lack innovation and risk-taking. Going through the demo, I didn't find anything new or little things that led me to think that this game is incredible. There is no doubt, however, that Detroit Become Human will be a good video game thanks to its flawless production, but also with its story which seems neat and its multiple scenarios. Like Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls, Detroit Become Human will not be a video game suitable for all players. You have to join the interactive video game film… I like it but others don't. I will definitely buy Detroit Become Human, but not Day One. I plan to wait several months for it to be offered at a low price.
