My sim city classic test!
I’m typing some really old stuff today :)! I offer you my test of Sim City classic, the creation of which dates back to the 90s! He is the first city builder of his kind!
Haha Sim City, you definitely know this fabulous saga invented by Maxis, through one of its many episodes! I offer you my test of Sim City classic, the first of its name! There has to be a beginning for everything! Sim City is a management game that allows you to play the role of the mayor of a city and manage everything that revolves around it! IN 1989 obviously playing in full HD 3D or even 4K was out of the question. At the time, you had to be satisfied with an aerial view with 3D printing. But when I played it for the first time on my big PC with my Pentium 166mhz processor :p it was more than enough for me! I owned a “remastered” version of the first Sim City. It was the Sim City Classic edition, in CD version ladies and gentlemen, and yeah! This first Sim city of the name was very demanding. It was necessary to coherently place businesses, industrial zones and homes, without forgetting power stations, recycling centers, police stations, train stations, airports, fire stations, schools, parks, football stadiums, etc. it was very complicated to satisfy the entire population, there were inevitably dissatisfied people but above all elements that were very difficult to manage. Between crime, road traffic, pollution, natural disasters, we had to constantly rethink everything and above all break the city's cash flow!.
I think this is the most difficult episode of the saga. Without lying, I must have spent a good hundred hours on this first Sim City, it was very captivating and I never saw the time passing. Despite these basic graphics, the sauce took without problem. I really thought I was mayor of a town that I managed as best I could 🙂 . I even had fun creating different backups to test different scenarios and natural disasters. In this first Sim City you could either create your city from A to Z or start with different scenarios of existing cities. IT was impossible to get bored while playing this Sim City. And casually this game was revolutionary because it was the first of its kind and above all it was excellent! If I'm not mistaken there was even a Super Nintendo version of Sim City but frankly playing on the controller I can't even imagine the hassle... To conclude, even if this Sim City is extremely old, it is a video game gem that has its place in a video game museum! He is the pioneer of the city builder genre!
