My review of the PS4 PRO
The PS4 PRO arrived at my home and took the place of my venerable PS4! What is this supercharged Playstation 4 worth?
Hello to PS4 Pro!
It is thanks to the famous blue video game brand that I benefited from an attractive trade-in offer for my classic PS4 after many months of good and loyal service! Without this trade-in offer it is clear that I would never have bought this PS4 Pro! I don’t have €400 to spend! In the end I only paid €140! Once the exchange was made, I quickly plugged in this PS4 PRO in my living room! So what is this Playstation 4 Pro worth? Is it actually the most powerful console in the world? Here is my verdict! When unboxing the PS4 Pro, I noticed that it is much heavier than the Original PS4! It is even longer, deeper and above all thicker. Basically they added a level to the classic PS4! Its design is uniform with a matte black color. A nice thing is that they have separated the power button from the eject button, this will avoid making mistakes like on the first PS4! Note that these buttons are no longer tactile but physical! They also finally added a USB port to the back of the console, and that's good! You can discreetly plug the Playstation VR box into the back of the console! Goodbye to unsightly threads! In terms of the configuration of this PS4 PRO, basically they added 1 gigabyte of Ram, increased the frequency of the central processor (from 1.6 GHz to 2.1 GHz), but also they boosted the graphics processor. This PS4 Pro is at least twice as powerful as the original PS4 according to Sony! Please note that this PS4 Pro is compatible with all PS4 games!These will run on the PS4 PRO without any improvement if the developers have not planned it! Indeedthe power added to the console will only be activated if the developers offer a patchfor the game!The PS4 Pro will not improve game performancebecause according to Mark Cerny (architect of the PS4 Pro) this would have caused too many bugs in the games! There are currently around thirty games boosted for the PS4 Pro! Please note that from now on all future games will have a classic PS4 and PS4 Pro configuration.In 2017, the PS4 Pro will be able to reveal its full potential!
Should we buy the PS4 Pro?
The interface of the PS4 Pro is identical to the original PS4. Incomprehensible thing,it does not have an Ultra HD Blu-ray player! It still pales in comparison to the Xbox One S, which has this new player! Honestlythis PS4 Pro is really indispensable if you don't have Ultra HD or 4K TV, Indeedon a Full HD television you will not notice any difference unless the game is really optimized, but there aren't many at the moment. You must be wondering why I bought a PS4 Pro? I bought it because having a Playstation VR headset, it is clear that the basic PS4 lacks punch! The display of the games was blurry, pixelated, with pronounced aliasing but above all the speed of the games was not great... Clearly with my PS4 Pro Drive Club is finally perfectly playable, it's clear, beautiful and fluid! Same for my game Until Dawn Rush Of Blood!The PS4 Pro increases the capabilities of Playstation VR tenfold, it’s nice! Not having the chance to have a 4K Ultra HD TV, I was still able to observe the performance of the PS4 Pro on these televisions! It’s actually superb! We can see a very clear difference between a classic full HD television and a 4K HDR television! Count on at least a 50/55 inch television (but also a big wallet) to be able to enjoy it! If you are hesitant to buy this PS4 Pro, the rule is simple.If you just have a Full HD TV this PS4 Pro will be of no use. On the other handif you have a Playstation VR or a 4k Ultra HD television, don't hesitate to take a PS4 Pro, your eyes will thank you!
