My Red by SFR optical fiber test!
Hey, finally having optical fiber in my new home in Maisons-Laffitte, today I offer you my Red by SFR Optical Fiber test! Be careful, it goes very quickly ^^
Yes I know, you purists are going to throw holy water at me by explaining to me that SFR fiber is not real optical fiber, but coaxial! You know what? You are right! But clearly coming from classic ADSL and 4G, red fiber is more than enough for me!
SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE!!!
Installing the Sagem modem is easy, plug in the coaxial cable, as well as the power cable and let the music begin! For once, I want to say “finally” this modem offers very good quality WiFi, the signal is optimal whatever the room you are in! 2 types of wifi are offered, classic 2.4ghz wifi and 5ghz wifi, enough to find what you're looking for depending on the device you want to connect. Several Ethernet ports are also available to connect wired (RJ45 cable) if desired to our PCs and consoles. As with each modem, it is possible to access the administration console in order to modify certain parameters. In short, this modem is simple but effective!
IT’S FAST!!!
Damn, that’s fast! Of course I come from 12 mega ADSL, but it's day and night. My XBox One, PS4 Switch and PC games download in around ten minutes and game updates are very quick to download! What happiness clearly I am finally breathing! No more endless waiting for game downloads and updates, now everything is fast! I can play whenever I want and quickly install any video game. On a wired connection, I tested my download speed, I have an average of 400 megas! In upload, I go up to 40 megas. I have a ping of 10 ms which is pretty good especially for online games :). In addition to being fast, this Red “coaxial” fiber is stable. To date, I haven't noticed any cuts, really, there's nothing to say!
CHEAP AND RELIABLE!
Frankly, for €25/month with no commitment, this Red “coaxial” fiber clearly does the job. I finally benefit from a stable but above all very fast internet connection at any time of the day. So yes it's not real optical fiber like that of Orange, I don't have 1000 megas in download, but clearly 400 megas is more than enough for me :)Red by SFR optical fiberI validate it 🙂
