My opinion on the Playstation VR
An appointment was made, in Paris, Saturday September 24 to try the Playstation VR, virtual reality headset for the PS4! Be careful, it’s mind-blowing!
To try the Playstation VR it was necessary to make an appointment, given the high attendance of this event. Despite the crowd, it was really well organized, as I didn't have to wait long before I could try the Playstation VR. So I chose to embark on a Drive Club session in virtual reality! Sony had specially pulled out all the stops in order to optimize the gaming experience, including a force feedback steering wheel and a bucket seat that would make any self-respecting jacky angry! I was literally captivated by the lightness of the Sony virtual reality headset! The finish is also not to be outdone, we see that Sony has strong experience in hardware. The Playstation VR settings seem intuitive! Nice thing, this helmet fits perfectly on the head! The fixings are well thought out, so there is no risk of slipping or falling during a video game session! Too bad, however, there is no integrated audio headset.
Enough blabla! What does it look like when playing? Once plugged into the PS4, the headset is immediately recognized as a plug and play system. A menu appears on the headset screen, you have the impression of having a giant screen like in the cinema before your eyes. Once the game started, I was completely amazed! I felt like I was literally inside a racing car! It’s very disturbing! While riding on the track, I really had exhilarating sensations, the immersion is quite incredible! I really felt the speed as well as the descents, climbs and turns! Of course it's not perfect, there are threads, it pixelates, the field of vision is not as large as in reality, but the sensations are really there! I'm not going to lie to you, I had a blast! I was all in! I had the same excitement as when I discovered 3D in a video game! I sincerely think that virtual reality will increase the sensations and pleasures in video games! To give you an idea, playing a video game with a virtual reality headset gives me the same sensations as when I dream at night (our dreams are certainly less pixelated ^^)! I hope that the general public will take a liking to this Playstation VR (think of the failure of 3D TVs). This is a very big risk on Sony's part, I hope it works!. €400 is the entry price for discovering virtual reality on PS4! In a previous article, I warned first-time buyers with these 1st generation VR headsets. But given how Sony seems to have developed games that are truly optimized for virtual reality, I honestly think I'm going to fall for Christmas, too bad for my banker! Try the Playstation VR, you won't believe your eyes :)!
