I offer you my little top 5 of my best Xbox games! Even if the first Xbox was not a phenomenal success, it had incredible games!
In number one of course I vote for the cult and unforgettable Halo! Halo has made a sensational entry into the FPS sector! Between its atmosphere, its superb graphics for the time, its physics engine, its captivating music and its careful storyline, Bungie has created a very great video game, but above all one of the most popular sagas on Xbox consoles! What an incredible game, and its split-screen multiplayer but especially local network by connecting several Xboxes made me spend magical hours watching this Halo!
In number two I vote for Fable! By unveiling his new video game, Peter Molyneux has offered a very good adventure RPG game in an albion that is very pleasant to explore! Fable used a lot of mechanics from Zelda games but when you see the result, in the end this game is truly a success! I spent many hours playing Fable, between the original main quests, the side quests, and our actions which had a direct impact in this game, this Fable was an incredible video game gem on XBox! It’s a shame that the Xbox One doesn’t have a real episode of Fable, I loved this saga…
As number 3, I vote for an UbiSoft game! It's Splinter Cell! This infiltration game was a small revolution for the time! Splinter Cell wanted to be realistic with its infiltration game mechanics, and it was greatly helped by a solid Tom Clancy scenario! It must be said that the French voice of Schwarzy used for the spy Sam Fisher put directly into the atmosphere of this very accomplished video game! The atmosphere of the game worthy of an American blockbuster, superb gameplay and superb graphics playing between darkness and light put a final touch on this unforgettable game! Splinter Cell is an essential game on XBox! Looking forward to its return on modern consoles and PCs
At number 4 I name Forza Motorsport! This car racing game had a lot to do to compete with the monster Gran Turismo on Playstation and Playstation 2. And yet Forza Motorsport did better than that! It has erased the flaws of Gran Turismo, notably by integrating damage management (something still non-existent on GT…), by inserting an AI with credible behavior during races and above all by offering more intuitive handling. When we see the next FORza 7 coming, the Gran Turismo license has huge problems to worry about... In short, Forza Motorsport is a cult car racing game on XBox!
IN number 5 it’s my personal favorite, IT’s Buffy The Vampire Slayer! Haha already loving the series, incredible thing they managed to create a frankly credible video game of this cult series! Buffy The Vampire Slayer on Xbox is exhilarating, the fights against the vampires are terrible, we find the characters, the music and the atmosphere of the series as well as certain cult places like the bar, the high school and the library! Buffy The Vampire Slayer is an excellent action combat adventure game on Xbox, it has its place in your retrogaming collection!
I can also name other incredible must-have games like Shenmue 2, Halo 2, Midtown Madness 3, Top Spin, Jet Set Radio Future, Dead Or Alive 3, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, Panzer Dragoon Orta, but that will be for another time :)
