Joy-Con broken? Free Nintendo Repair!

Thanks to the efforts of consumer associations and the EU, Nintendo must repair all broken joy-cons even outside of warranty!

Last year, I was angry with Nintendo for refusing to cover the repair of the Out of Service joy con on my partner's Nintendo Switch.

It was crazy, you had to pay a significant amount of money to hope to get a working joy-con back. The most annoying thing is that the hardware bugs of “joy-con drift” and loss of sync/battery were known! It was clearly planned obsolescence but Nintendo refused to cover joy-con repairs outside of warranty.

But now thanks to consumer associations (UFC what to choose) and the European Union, it’s ancient history! Nintendo must repair all out-of-service joy-cons, even those that are no longer under warranty!

Honestly, don’t deprive yourself! The process is very simple! My partner got her joy-con back after just a week without paying a single Euro!

Here's how to do it:

You must go to the siteNintendo after-sales service

Then on “create a repair request”

You select your fault and indicate which joy con is affected. You must provide proof of purchase and the serial number of the console.

You finally complete your address and contact details, you will then get a good return to print!

All you have to do is ship your broken joy con!

I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of Nintendo's after-sales service. In just one week they repaired my partner's joy con! Hats off to the after-sales service, they deserve the 5 stars!
