For this 2018 edition of the largest video games show in France, I can assure you that I have wonderful memories! It was great! I offer you my little summary of Paris Games Week 2018!

Before telling you about Paris Games Week 2018, I would first like to thank the incredible kindness of the nemcoshow family, because without them I would not have enjoyed this incredible video game show located at Porte de Versailles in Paris as much. I had a wonderful adventure thanks to them and I met some great people.

PGW 2018 Huge logistics!

I was honestly impressed! Having given a little help with setting up the Nemcoshow stand, I was able to wander through the different aisles of Paris Games Week 2018. A lot of workers were assembling the stands at the show, it was clearly a giant anthill that I had in front of me. It was a race to see who had the most impressive stand! The Fortnite one was in my opinion the most extravagant, but the other stands like those of Ubisoft, Sony, Nintendo, PUBG, and XBox were also worth the detour! For the inauguration evening I had the opportunity to try a lot of games like the remake of Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, Metro Exodus, Super Smash Bros on Switch but also a little VR fighting game whose name I don't remember from Ubisoft. I also played quite a few games on Marcus' pinball machine, but unfortunately I didn't beat his score of 66 million grrrrrrrrr. On Friday I had the opportunity to play the very classic but nice Days Gone on PS4, as well as the fighting game Soul Calibur VI! It really wasn’t bad! The following days, notably on the Xbox stand, I had the opportunity to try the little game Tunic (zelda like) as well as the very cute India game Ori. At Nintendo I also played Megaman 11 on Switch, it was very nice.

Lots of people at PGW 2018!

Oh yes, there were a lot of people for this 2018 edition of Paris Games Week. It’s quite crazy to see to what extent E-sport has become famous, clearly an entire hall was reserved just for this video game discipline. To continue on the theme of popularity, the YouTubers and influencers at PGW 2018 are having an insolent success, I find it borderline worrying, I saw hundreds of thousands of teenagers running and stepping on each other to catch a glimpse of their idols during Paris Games Week 2018, in short it's a world that is beyond me but above all which doesn't make me want it at all. This race for followers and popularity berk… Fortunately, despite the very high attendance at this Paris Games Week 2018, the organizers had planned 3 halls. Hall 1 for video game publishers and manufacturers, Hall 2 for juniors and video game schools and Hall 3 for e-sport in particular. Afterwards, I'm not going to lie to you, you had to be patient to be able to test certain future video games. They should have installed a lot more terminals.

Great encounters at PGW 2018!

Even though I met quite a few well-known personalities in the video game industry during Paris Games Week 2018, I especially remember the brilliant members of the Nemcoshow association! They clearly wear their hearts on their sleeves, I had incredible moments with them, it was pretty crazy! I had a lot of fun, and some of them became friends :) Clearly the stand ofNemcoshowwas the most fun and friendly part of Paris Games Week 2018! At Xbox also I met the very friendly Hugues Ouvrard (boss of the Xbox France division) and I really appreciated the XBox One adaptive controller which allows players with disabilities to be able to play video games! In short, to conclude, I’m already looking forward to the 2019 edition of Paris Games Week! Long live video games 🙂
