God Of War PS4 review

New year, new article! Today I offer you my review of God Of War PS4!

First of all, I wish you all a very happy new year 2022! I hope that Santa Claus spoiled you with consoles and video games and that you had a good time celebrating with your family and loved ones 🙂 . In short, let's get back to business, for this first article of the year 2022, I offer you my test of God Of War PS4. Yes I have a huge backlog to catch up on lol. I try to finish as many video games as possible before buying new ones ^^.

Shame on me, I had never played a God Of War in my entire gaming career. This error is now corrected, I have just completed the superb adventure of God Of War!

While I'm at it, I played God Of War on my Playstation 5, just to take advantage of the few technical improvements of this new console, but clearly God Of War is already great on PS4. Graphically this game is a real visual slap in the face. It’s splendid, it’s worthy of the 7th art, of the sensational big-budget popcorn video game. I was expecting a beautiful video game but clearly I wasn't expecting this visual perfection. In addition to being beautiful, God Of War feels perfectly fluid in the hand. Kratos is easy to navigate, and he's not the god of war for nothing. The fights are Dante, and the bosses are diabolical! It’s great art! The gameplay alternates between fighting, QTE scene, exploration, reflection, it’s really nice.

History is not left out! In this latest God Of War, Kratos must take care of his son Atreus alone, after the death of his partner. You will experience a moving story and a magnificent adventure in the company of Kratos and D’atreus. With the strength of Kratos and the intelligence and agility of Atreus you will progress without too much difficulty in this video game. The staging, the atmosphere, the music, it's great art, it's worthy of a Lord of the Rings. I really had a great time in God Of War. And what about the lifespan of the game! I expected to complete this adventure quickly and ultimately it took me almost 20 hours to finish it in a straight line. And yes I haven't explored all the locations offered in God Of War, there is no doubt that to play the game 100% it would take a good number of hours to finish it. But hey with my family life and my children, I'm content with the main story of the game and that's already good :)

Frankly, I don't have much to complain about this God Of War. I didn't encounter any annoying bugs, nothing bothered me in this adventure. Come on, if I have to quibble, I found the gameplay a bit dated. For example, our brave Kratos can only climb in certain places, he cannot jump everywhere. I also found this adventure a little too long but that's just my opinion as an overworked father ^^.

Here is my verdict!

God Of War is a great, (very great) video game! This is the must have for the Playstation 4 (and PS5). Good news, it has also been available on PC for a few days. No need to beat around the bush, God Of War is an example of a beat them all action adventure video game. I really can't wait to play the next opus of this God Of War saga!
