Forza Horizon 5 review
After many kilometers traveled in this great open world arcade racing game, today I offer you my test of Forza Horizon 5 on my Xbox Series X!
We are already on the 5th episode of the Forza Horizon saga! Time definitely passes too quickly! Over the course of the episodes, Forza Horizon has gained in confidence, in grandeur but also in madness! After the USA, Europe, Australia and England, the open world arcade racing gameForza Horizon 5settle down in Mexico!
To please everyone, Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox Series S/X, on PC but also on our good old Xbox One! The Playground Games studio has optimized its racing game on each support! Having tried it on Xbox One, Forza Horizon 5 still remains very beautiful and perfectly playable! Personally owning the Xbox Series X, Forza Horizon 5 shines brightly. On my 4K Qled Dolby Vision TV, this Forza is splendid! Forza Horizon 5 offers two graphics modes. Performance in 60 FPS or quality in 30 frames per second. I tested both modes. Clearly I prefer to play in performance mode in order to have a better feeling of speed :) Graphically the difference is not huge on Xbox Series X. Mexico is superbly well recreated, this open world is very pleasant to explore. Forza Horizon 5 is probably one of the most beautiful video games of the moment! The soundtrack, the sound effects, the VF, the radios, the staging, allow you to fully immerse yourself in this beautiful virtual Mexico.
Xbox One controller in hand, Forza Horizon 5 is still just as enjoyable! Getting started is immediate, and the room for improvement is enormous. Saga Forza obliges, our competitors are the derivatives of our friends, players. They are inspired by our behavior. My son received a Thrustmaster force feedback steering wheel thanks to Santa! Needless to say, with this wheel, Forza Horizon 5 is a total blast. You feel everything, the immersion is total, with this wheel I feel like I have a Sega arcade machine in my hands 🙂
As always, Forza Horizon 5 offers lots of different races (track, off-track, street racing, drift, cross country) challenges, challenges, scenarios, gatherings, barn treasures, danger zones, speed etc etc… Not forgetting the “Eliminator” battle Royale mode, Super 7, seasonal championships, and Horizon Tour, a multiplayer tournament. About Multiplayer, Forza Horizon 5 encourages players to play together online as naturally as possible and so far it works well. There are many interactions, you can offer cars to players and have a great session together in cooperative or competitive mode. In short, the lifespan of Forza Horizon 5 seems infinite. I no longer count my hours in this game :)
Obviously it remains difficult to innovate and reinvent the wheel, but unlike Forza Horizon 4 which was very similar to 3, Forza Horizon 5 tries to bring new things, while retaining what is successful in the Horizon saga. Probably some grumpy people will say that there is nothing new in Forza Horizon 5, but personally I find this Forza Horizon 5 much funnier than the previous one and much more focused on online gaming between players.
My verdict!
I'm going straight to the point! Forza Horizon 5 is a must have! This is the game to own on Xbox Series S/X Xbox One and PC! For me, it is one of the most beautiful video games of the moment, but above all one of the best open world arcade racing video games! If you have Xbox Game Pass you have no excuse, play Forza Horizon 5 :) For the others buy it you will have a blast! IT is well worth 5 stars!!!
