Farming Simulator 22 review

This article was a challenge for me. Today I offer you my review of Farming Simulator 22 :)!

This Farming Simulator license has intrigued me for years, this video game saga is becoming more and more popular, its gaming community is large and there are even e-sport competitions dedicated to this farm management game! The opportunity was too good for me and I would like to say thank you toKoch Mediafor sending me Farming Simulator 22 so that I can offer you a test!

Clearly Farming Simulator 22 is a challenge for me, I consider myself a city dweller and even if I grew up and lived in the Basque country until I was 21 before living in Ile de France, I am light years away from being a country man. I only did a seasonal job castrating corn!!!! Frankly I know nothing about agriculture, livestock breeding, or planting, what speaks to me is big cities, Smallville gives me hives and allergies (hay fever lol).

Well I installed the game on my Xbox Series X. We're not going to lie technically Farming Simulator 22 is far from exploiting the capabilities of this new generation console. However, it remains visually acceptable. The 03 maps, Elmcreek, Erlengrat and Haut-Beyleron offer varied landscapes and a correct display distance, small downside it lacks life. Well, the game is fluid on Xbox Series, and with the controller in hand it's perfectly playable. I thought this management game would be complicated without the keyboard mouse combo, but finally with the Xbox pad we got by. We easily control the vehicles and our farmer.

Farming Simulator 22 has not stolen its “simulator” title. This game should be considered as the Flight Simulator version of farmers who manage farms. This game features around a hundred extremely detailed and realistic agricultural vehicles and machines. Clearly it's super complete, it's the agricultural show this Farming Simulator 22. I understand perfectly that aficionados of this saga are having a blast. Nothing is forgotten, nothing is left to chance. Each tool/machine/vehicle has its specificity, you can either buy or rent them.  Farming Simulator 22 offers you the ability to manage your farm, crops, animals and machines. Concerning the lifespan of Farming Simulator 22, frankly I think it is unlimited, we can even help each other online. This farm management game is incredibly complete, GIANTS Software has not forgotten anything. Not knowing anything about agriculture, I said to myself that a tutorial would be offered for beginners. Indeed there is a tutorial, just like, something extremely rare today, the game box has instructions! Yes, a notice! and it is substantial but above all very useful to be less lost. Farming Simulator also offers different difficulty modes, including a beginner mode with money flowing freely and a ready-to-use farm, up to the professional/realistic mode where you have to do everything with little money. Obviously I took beginner mode. I customized my farmer in cowboy walker texas ranger mode, with good old Country as a radio!! Yes yes like in GTA the vehicles have a radio, but to be in the farmer's atmosphere you need country music!!!

I thought the tutorial would take me by the hand, but after 10 minutes of playing I unfortunately found myself alone in the world like in the film with Tom Hanks. I cried lol. I started doing anything because I don’t know anything about agriculture haha. Fortunately the Farming Simulator community is substantial and“thanks youtube» tutorials are offered to help you get by. In short, I'm discovering this agricultural sector little by little, but I'm not going to lie to you, it's hard for a neophyte like me. Clearly a much more substantial tutorial is needed for players who are just starting out.  Thanks to YouTube videos and topics from the Farming Simulator community, I think that in a few months I would be much less bad at this game. For me the pet peeve of this Farming Simulator 22 is this lack of support for beginners, I think that a lot of neophytes will quickly abandon it, because this game is hard.

Here is my verdict

Farming Simulator 22 is the Flight Simulator love is in the meadow version. This farm management game is incredibly detailed and comprehensive. Playable without problem on the controller, it is also (very, too) demanding in its knowledge of the agricultural sector. Not knowing anything about it, I'm struggling, but thanks to thetutorials on youtube from Univers SimuI'm starting to understand this management game... In short, I think this game is excellent for aficionados of farm management games but unfortunately it is not very suitable for beginners. It will probably be necessary to integrate a much better tutorial in the future so as not to scare away new players.
