Cooooooooool Boardeeerrrrrrsss! The snow game that inspired those of today! Without further ado, here is my review of Cool Boarders on Playstation!
How to forget this snowboard game! This is the game that amazed me when I was a child! I was drooling over the Playstation test terminals! So see, a great snowboarding game in 03 dimensions was unheard of in the 90s! The animation was super fluid, the 3D was amazing and the music was catchy! Enough blabla here is my review of Cool Boarders on Playstation!
Coooool Boooarders!
During my first session on Cool Boarders I was amazed by this board sport video game. Fluid, fun but above all totally in 03 dimensions! It was a revolution at the time! Sony's 32-bit console had it under the hood! Today this sliding game has certainly aged quite a bit but it is still just as fun to play! Pad in hand, the rider responds to the finger and the eye, the gameplay is great and the sliding sensations are exhilarating! To accompany this gaming pleasure, good catchy music puts the player directly in the mood. Of course, this game is not at all a gliding simulation, it's even downright arcade, but what a pleasure to play without worrying!
Off-piste allowed?
And no, off-piste is not allowed! We are not into open world type video games which are becoming the norm over time! Here you have to follow marked trails! Furthermore, what a shame this first episode of Cool Boarders does not allow multiplayer in local mode. You must therefore be content with the solo game. This first Cool Boarders is also slightly stingy in terms of content! In fact we have to make do with only 02 riders, and a few tracks on several difficulty levels. Fortunately the challenges are varied, between the race against time, tricks, and speed.
Cool Boarders is really cool!
And yes, for this first snowboard game, Cool Boarders is really cool on Sony's venerable 32-bit Playstation! This game is sublime for its time, fluid, fast, fun and very arcade! Cool Boarders is a bit like the founder of today's board video games! Don’t hesitate to add it to your PlayStation collection!
